Hello, everyone and thank you for taking the time to check out Orbit Media Online! Every week, I will have this post, updating you on what?s going on here at the station in terms of sports.
This week, everyone?s getting excited for the kickoff of Muskie sports this weekend. Football will air live at 12:45 as Dog Knepper and myself will have the call for that game. This is a very intriguing game for the Muskies. I don?t want to say it?s a ?must win? but it could be a rough start if they can?t pull out a win. After a bye in week 2, the Muskies will travel to Alliance to take on Mount Union, then back at home against Baldwin-Wallace the following week, this year?s top 2 ranked teams in the OAC, respectively.
Talking to some players, they?re very happy with the scrimage and think the offensive line will be one of the biggest factors this season. With this comes high hopes on the ground, with backs such as Anthony Frye and Alvin Taylor. James Washington returns as a threat in the passing game.
The defense did lose two of the best linebackers in the conference in Alex Thomas and Ethan Wetzel, but they do return Jake Antolak, Logan Ladd, and Steven Stooksbury.
The Muskies will kick off against Waynesburg at 1:00, and pregame will start at 12:45 on WMCO 90.7. We?ll have all the hard hitting action coming your way all season on The Orbit.
Enjoy the rest of your week and Go Muskies!
