BP Reaches $7.8 Billion Settlement Over 2010 Gulf Oil Spill (ContributorNetwork)

[unable to retrieve full-text content]ContributorNetwork - According to MSNBC, oil giant BP has reached a $7.8 billion agreement with a committee representing more than 100,000 individuals impacted by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. BP has stated the amount will likely be paid from a $20 billion trust established after the spill. The lawsuit trial was set to begin Monday, but due to the agreement, it has again been postponed with no new date scheduled as of now.
